Giulia Giuffrè

Biography

Giulia Giuffrè is an Italian entrepreneur, named SDG Pioneer for sustainable water management by the UN Global Compact in 2021. She is a member of the board of directors and Chief Sustainability Officer of Irritec, founded by her father in 1974 in Sicily, today among the world leaders in the precision irrigation sector. On the international stage, Giulia is also a member of the board of the European Irrigation Association, where she leads the “Sustainability in Agriculture” working group. Committed to social inclusion and gender equality, Giulia is an ambassador for 6libera, the first digital observatory against harassment and violence in the workplace. She is part of the Territorial Committee of Crédit Agricole Italia, which made possible the establishment of Le Village by CA Sicilia, an innovation accelerator fostering collaboration between startups, businesses, and universities, of which Irritec is a founding partner. Giulia cultivates a passion for art, photography and cinema. She is the president of SalinaDocFest, a film festival dedicated to "narrative documentaries" which has been held annually since 2007 on the island of Salina. She is married to Nicola and is the mother of Niccolò and Federico.
