Biography
Abigail Arellano is a seasoned Sustainability Manager, bringing extensive experience in driving ESG initiatives. Currently based in Paris, France, she holds the role of Sustainability Project Manager and Data Specialist at Natixis Investment Managers where she lends her expertise to ESG reporting processes and spearheads cross-affiliate projects focusing on sustainable investments, including areas such as climate change, ESG data providers, active ownership, and biodiversity. Her global impact extends to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where, as a Senior Consultant ESG for ERM (known before as NINT), Abigail engaged in research projects, responsible investment, and sustainable bonds for the Latin America and Caribbean region, she participated in initiatives such as the development of a Green-tagging tool for Development Banks for IADB and played a pivotal role in UNEP projects, including Sustainable Financial Product Markets and Blue Economy Roadmaps. Abigail's journey includes a noteworthy tenure at Grupo Financiero Banorte in Mexico City, Mexico, where she served as ESG Analyst. There, she participated in shaping the overall ESG strategy for the financial group, focusing on mutual funds, investor relations, and the banking business. Abigail's contributions spanned the development of the methodology for equity portfolio analysis, ESG reports for the Investment committee, and the conceptualization of Responsible Investment policies.
