Alessandro Ghio

Biography

Alessandro Ghio is an Associate Professor in the Performance Measurement and Management Department at ESCP Business School (Paris, France). They hold a Ph.D. in Accounting from ESSEC Business School (Paris, France) and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Pisa (Pisa, Italy). Their research explores diversity in business, with a focus on sexuality, gender, and age, as well as corporate social media communication. Their work has been published in leading academic journals, they have co-authored three books and presented at over 150 conferences worldwide. Alessandro is an editor at Accounting Horizons and Journal of Management and Governance and is on multiple editorial boards. They also served on the Financial Reporting Committee at Québec’s Financial Markets Authority. Alessandro received the prestigious Aspen Institute "Ideas Worth Teaching" Award in 2019, recognizing their innovative contributions to education. A passionate advocate for academic activism, they are the co-instigator of the projects Queering Accounting and Working Women and Wellbeing.
