Biography

Saranpaal is a Technology Partner at A&O Shearman's Singapore Office, leading the firm's tech, digital and IP practice for the ASEAN region. For over 15 years he has advised clients across Asia Pacific on their most complex and strategic technology, IP and data transactions and initiatives. This has included digital infrastructure, strategic procurement, tech collaborations, digital transformation, IP commercialisation, emerging tech (AI, DLT, IOT), and technology development. Saranpaal has a unique combination of legal skills and deep technical expertise, having a background in aeronautical engineering and co-founding a technology company. He provides practical and innovative solutions to clients' strategic technology projects and is passionate about navigating the legal and business challenges arising from the rapid evolution of technology and digitalization.
