Shadi Alshdaifat

Biography

Dr. Shadi A. Alshdaifat earned a Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from Mu’tah University, Jordan in 2001. He also holds a master's degree in international and Comparative Law (LLM) from Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, Texas in 2009. He also holds a Science Juridical Doctorate (S.J.D.) from Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU) in San Francisco, California in 2012. Currently, Dr. Alshdaifat is an Associate Professor of Public International Law at the University of Sharjah, College of Law, He teaches Public International Law, International Organizations, Human Rights, Legal Studies in English, and Legal Skills in English. Dr. Alshdaifat's professional experience is diverse. He worked at Isra University for three years and acted as the Interim Dean of the Faculty of Law and Head of the Public Law Department several times. He worked as a senior legal adviser for the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; taught and delivered classes for several different law schools in the U.S. and Jordan; and, he helped Iraqi and Sudanese refugees in his work for the Law Firm of Mitchell & Mir and the Human Rights Initiative (HRI) in Dallas, Texas.
