Biography

Tetsuya FUJIMOTO Secretary General, General Secretariat, Japan Fair Trade Commission Tetsuya FUJIMOTO is Secretary General of the General Secretariat at the Japan Fair Trade Commission (“JFTC”). After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo in 1987, he joined the Ministry of Finance. He received a Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore in 1991. He has held a number of key roles at the JFTC, including Director General of the Trade Practices Department, Senior Deputy Secretary General for Policy Management, Director General of the Investigation Bureau and Director General of the Economic Affairs Bureau. He assumed his current position in July 2023.
