Biography

Noiana is the Global Co-Head of International Arbitration and Co-Head of the Latin America practice at Freshfields. Noiana’s practice focuses on investor-state and commercial arbitrations across a variety of sectors such as energy, mining, telecommunications, infrastructure, financial services, aviation and airport services, sovereign debt, agriculture, and food production and distribution. Trained in both civil and common law, she has extensive experience as counsel and arbitrator in high-stakes, cutting-edge commercial and investment treaty arbitrations. She has handled matters under all major arbitral rules, including ICSID, ICC, PCA, ICDR, and the UNCITRAL rules, in both English and Spanish. She is recognized – by Chambers (Global, USA, and Latin America), The Legal 500 (USA and Latin America), and Lexology Index as one of the top practitioners in the field of international arbitration, as one of the 500 Leading Global Litigators and one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America (2026) by Lawdragon one of Latin America's "Top 35 Female Lawyers" (2018–2025) and one of Latin America’s “Top 100 Female Lawyers” (2025) by Latinvex for her achievements in international arbitration, and as a “Litigation Star” in the Benchmark Litigation US Guide (2025). She received the Law360 MVP Award for International Arbitration (2018 and 2025), the National Women in Law Award for Thought-Leadership (2018), the Hispanic National Bar Foundation Latina Leadership Award (2019), the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) Rainmaker Award (2021), the Women In Business Law (WIBL) Commercial Arbitration Lawyer of the Year Award in 2023, and the Lexology Client Choice Award for Mining in New York (2025). She also currently serves as a Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, is an ex-officio Member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, and is Alternate Director on the New York International Arbitration Center Board of Directors. She received her law degree with honors from the Buenos Aires University, her master’s degree with honors from the Université Paris I Panthéon, and her master’s degree in International Legal Studies from New York University School of Law. Noiana is admitted to practice in New York and in Argentina. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and is conversant in German.
