Biography

I advise and represent clients in complex and high-stakes disputes, both in domestic and international arbitration and litigation. With over 30 years of experience as a lawyer, I have developed a strong expertise in insolvency and restructuring, banking and company law, and contract law, as well as international sanctions. I have successfully handled cases involving multiple jurisdictions, industries, and parties, achieving favorable outcomes for my clients. In addition to my practice, I am a professor of business law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where I teach and research on topics related to my field of specialization. I am also an active member of the CEPANI and the ICC, where I have been serving as a delegate from Belgium to the Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Furthermore, I am also active as an officer of the insolvency section of the International Bar Association, where I contribute to the development and promotion of best practices and standards in insolvency law. I am recognized as a leading lawyer in my field by several reputable publications, such as Chambers, Legal 500, and Leaders League.
