Biography

Daniel is a Founding Partner and Joint Managing Partner of Eldan Law LLP, Singapore. Eldan Law LLP is a member firm of Lawyers Associated Worldwide and the Singapore associated law firm of DWF Law, the first UK law firm that was listed on the London Stock Exchange. Eldan Law LLP is a full-service firm and has been ranked on legal publications such as Chambers, Legal 500 and Asia Legal Business. Daniel was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Singapore Bar in 1994. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993 and has a Masters of Law degree from Columbia University, where he graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar for superior academic performance. Daniel presently serves as the Vice-President of the Law Society of Singapore and Treasurer of Pro Bono SG, a wholly owned subsidiary and charity of the Law Society of Singapore. Daniel also serves as an officer of the IBA Bar Issues Commission Regulations Committee. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Principal Mediator of the Singapore Mediation Centre and Specialist Mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Centre. He is a Senior Accredited Director with the Singapore Institute of Directors. He is also an Adjudicator with the AIAC of Malaysia. Daniel is also a Principal Examiner with the Singapore Institute of Legal Education which conducts the post-graduate law course and examinations which qualify lawyers for admission to the Singapore Bar. Daniel supervises the course on legal services for private clients including ethical conduct of lawyers. Daniel is the General Editor and lead author of the Law & Practice of Injunctions in Singapore published by Sweet & Maxwell. Over the years, Daniel has developed an extensive broad-based practice in commercial disputes resolution and international arbitration and is often engaged as Lead Counsel for matters heard at the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Singapore, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the Singapore International Commercial Court. He has also been appointed as arbitrator in cases administered by the SIAC.
