Biography

A partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Shawn is a corporate and commercial lawyer, as well as a seasoned business leader. He has lived and worked in each of North America, Europe, Asia and South America (where he currently resides). He has expertise in financing and M&A transactions, joint-venture structuring, commercial transactions and corporate law. He also has experience in business development and government relations, particularly in the mining industry. He speaks Spanish at a native level of fluency. He is also fluent in Italian. He holds a law degree from Harvard Law School, as well as an undergraduate business degree from the University of Victoria. He is admitted to the bar in New York, as well as in British Columbia.
