Biography

Andreas studied law in Munich, Paris and New York and is admitted as a lawyer in Germany and attorney-at-law in New York. After one year with Sullivan & Cromwell, Andreas joined CMS Berlin (and its predecessor resp.) in 1993 and is equity partner since 1996. Andreas J. Roquette's more than 30-year-experience as construction lawyer covers infrastructure, plant construction and other civil engineering projects. He is acting in large scale arbitration and court proceedings both as counsel and arbitrator. He is one of the leading specialists re delay and disruption issues, and his experience includes both civil law and common law jurisdictions. Andreas is listed as "Global Elite Thought Leader" in Who's Who Legal 2023 and he is listed for Construction Law and Dispute Resolution in 2024 and 2025 Germany's Best Lawyers (Handelsblatt in cooperation with Best Lawyers). Lexology Index 2025 is listing Andreas as an “an eminent name in Germany” and as “very well respected within the industry”.
