Biography

Marta Cenini is a professor of civil law qualified as full professor and barrister. She joined Maisto e Associati in 2023 after being an of counsel at one of the major international law firms in Italy and then at a boutique law firm, where she specialized in trust law and estate planning. She regularly advises families and HNWIs both nationally and internationally on their family and succession planning projects and on estate administration. She has also extensive experience in family law issues, trust and private foundation disputes, asset recovery, and international inheritance litigation. She has also a specific competence in art law. She has been appointed arbitrator at the Venice Arbitration Chamber, Art section, and is in the pool of Arbitrators of the Court of Arbitrators for Art (CAFA). She is admitted to the Bar of Milan and to the advocacy before the Court of Cassation. She is a Full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Full Member of the International Bar Association (IBA). On the academic side, she is a member of the Italian Society of Civil Law Scholars (SiSDIC) and a member of the other academic associations of civil law professors. She is an Académica Asociada at the Academia Internacional de Derecho de Sucesiones based in Argentina. She is the author of numerous publications and is regularly invited to speak at conferences in Italy and abroad.
