Biography

Natascha Bernstorff is Senior Vice President and Head of Third Party Risk Management & Regulatory Enablement at Danske Bank, where she has overall responsibility for first-line activities related to third-party risk management and regulatory enablement. Originally trained as a lawyer, Natascha joined Danske Bank in 2014 and later assumed responsibility for the bank’s first-line governance and framework for outsourcing, as well as the unit supporting its execution. Today, she leads the Third Party Risk Management & Regulatory Enablement function, with a strong focus on strengthening governance, enhancing processes and ensuring sustainable execution in a highly regulated environment. In an increasingly uncertain world, where geopolitical developments, regulatory expectations, technological disruption and the rapid emergence of AI are reshaping the financial sector, the ability to onboard, manage and oversee third parties has become more important than ever. Natascha’s work focuses on ensuring that third-party relationships are governed effectively and responsibly, helping to protect the bank, its customers and the stability of the financial system. Natascha has extensive experience across procurement, outsourcing, compliance and third-party risk management. Prior to her current role, she was Head of Outsourcing and Third Parties Compliance within the second line of defence at Nordea, where she was responsible for overseeing compliance activities related to outsourcing and third-party arrangements. She is recognised for driving complex change agendas across regulated financial institutions, building robust governance frameworks, and improving operational resilience whilst at the same time balancing business value.
