Sahil Shoor

Biography

Sahil Shoor is a construction and infrastructure disputes partner at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP. His practice focuses on complex, high-value disputes arising from major infrastructure projects across Canada and internationally, including bridges, transit systems, tunnels, and power generation facilities. Called to the Bar in Ontario and British Columbia, Sahil brings deep expertise in the sectors that drive Canada's infrastructure and economic development: commercial construction, real estate development, civil works, power generation, and major transit projects. He acts for owners, contractors, and engineers on matters involving injunctions, technical disputes, construction liens, delays, negligence allegations, and claims under bonding instruments. He is equally skilled in mediations, adjudications, and alternative dispute resolution across multiple provinces and jurisdictions. His advocacy skills have earned consistent recognition from Chambers Canada, The Legal 500 Canada, and Lexpert. In 2024, he received the Heather McArthur Memorial Young Lawyers Award from the Ontario Bar Association in recognition of his contributions to continuing legal education and the development of construction law.
