Biography

Amel Fenghour is a litigation funding professional specialising in complex commercial disputes, international arbitration, collective proceedings and securities litigation. Before moving into litigation finance, she was a disputes lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, where she advised clients on high-value commercial litigation and arbitration. Drawing on her experience in both private practice and litigation funding, Amel works with law firms and claimants to assess, structure and finance complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions. Her particular areas of interest include securities and shareholder litigation, class actions and collective redress and large-scale commercial disputes. Amel is a regular speaker on litigation funding, collective redress and access to justice. At the IBA Annual Conference, she is a panellist on Litigation funding for class actions concerning environmental harm claims, exploring the role of litigation finance in enabling complex environmental litigation.
