Biography
HRH Olori (Queen) Olufunmilayo Ajibola-Oluyede is a highly distinguished transnational commercial attorney, passionate women’s rights activist, and internationally recognized leader within the global legal community. With nearly four decades of elite legal practice, she has established herself as a pivotal figure in shaping international bar relations and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the profession. Leadership within the International Bar Association (IBA) Olori Oluyede maintains a profound commitment to the International Bar Association (IBA). She currently impacts the governance of the organization through several top-tier appointments, including: • Advisor & Former Co-Chair, IBA Diversity and Inclusion Council • Advisor, IBA Constitution and Governance Committee • Past Member, Legal Practice Division Council and the IBA Nominations Committee • Advisory Board Member, IBA Women Lawyers Committee • Past Chair & Advisory Board Member, IBA African Regional Forum International & Regional Institutional Impact Beyond the IBA, she bridges critical legal networks across continents. Notably, she facilitated the historic 2019 Memorandum of Cooperation between the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the American Bar Association International Law Section (ABA ILS). Within the ABA ILS, she serves as Chair and Senior Advisor across multiple strategic divisions and Committies, including the United Nations and International Organizations, Human Rights, NGO & NPO, International Refugee Law, and Government and Public Interest Committees, alongside the Women’s Interest Network. She is also a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). National Legal Practice & Bar Offices Olori Oluyede is a Life Member of the Honorable Body of Benchers, the highest regulatory organ of the legal profession in Nigeria. She is a pioneer and founding partner of TRLPLAW Solicitors & Advocates, an international commercial law firm through which she delivers over 39 years of corporate insight to prominent global clients. Her extensive service to the Nigerian Bar includes roles as past National Treasurer of the NBA, Vice Chair of the NBA Lagos Branch, and inaugural Secretary of the NBA Women Forum. Global Humanitarian & Advocacy Work A prolific speaker at global conventions, she frequently organizes acclaimed international conferences at the United Nations in collaboration with global humanitarian networks. She serves as the North America Executive Director of FIDA International (International Federation of Women Lawyers) and was previously its Regional Vice President for North America. Personal Profile Olori Oluyede belongs to the Akenneyin Royal Dynasty of the Amapetu of Mahin kingdom in Ondo State. She was married for 43 years to HRM the late Alaiyeluwa Oba Raphael Ajibola Oluyede—a revered legal luminary and monarch of the Ayede-Ogbese kingdom—with whom she shares children and grandchildren.
