Biography

Karina (Close D'Angelo) Carvalho - Executive General Counsel for Latin America GE Experience: 15,5 years Background/expertise: Karina has a Law degree from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo/Brazil. She joined GE in the end of 2010 and had hold different positions in the company as Senior Labor & Employment Counsel, Compliance Leader and before joining GE Aerospace, as General Counsel for GE Corporate in Latam. In her current role since March 2024, Karina is responsible for overseeing the legal matters in the region, supporting the leaders on strategic decisions, and keeping GE brand and reputation safe. In addition to the legal responsibilities, Karina is serving as the President of the Deliberative Council of Gebsa-Prev – pension plan of GE in Brazil and she is fully engaged in I&D initiatives. Before GE, Karina worked in a large law firm in Brazil, TozziniFreire Advogados, for almost 10 years, being responsible for managing the labor litigation (special cases).
