Biography

Mark Sansom is Freshfields' Global Client Partner and a market-leading competition litigator. He has acted in many of the UK's most significant antitrust damages claims and collective proceedings, with particular expertise in defending high-profile competition litigation before the UK courts and Competition Appeal Tribunal. In addition to overseeing Freshfields' global client strategy, Mark advises boards and senior executives on complex competition disputes and risk management. He is ranked among the leading practitioners globally and was recognised in The Lawyer's Hot 100 (2024) and as Global Competition Review's Litigator of the Year in both 2019 and 2025.
