Biography

Luis is founding partner and co-managing partner of the Firm. He was born in Spain and grew up in Germany. He holds a degree in German law having studied at the University of Cologne and at the Trier University (German degree 1991); Degree in Spanish law (Madrid 1993) and the Mexican law degree by the University UNAM in Mexico City (1997). Luis works mainly in the commercial, corporate regulation and foreign investment areas and has extensive experience in advising on corporate transactions, representing international clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and transactional businesses. He is currently the Secretary of the Swiss Mexican Chamber of Commerce, former President of the German Mexican Chamber of Commerce and in other activities he is the Secretary of the Foundation of the German Industry in Mexico for Culture. Luis is furthermore the Attorney trust (“Vertrauensanwalt”) for the German Embassy in Mexico, the Swiss Embassy and the Austrian Embassy. He has given many seminars in Austria, Germany, Mexico, Spain and the USA. He is also author of serveral articles about Compliance; Mexican Product Liability; Guarantees under Mexican Law; Comparitive Banking Law in Mexico and Germany; and Mexican Investment Law (Co-Author of “Business-Guide Mexico” published by Bundesanzeiger Verlag, 2016). Luis is recommended in Corporate/M&A by “Chambers and Partners” for the last 15 years, as well as ranked in “Legal500”, “LatinLawyer” and “BestLawyers”.
