Biography

Alex Jupp focuses his practice on the tax aspects of UK and cross-border acquisitions, financings, restructurings and asset management structures. He is equally highly regarded by clients for his work resolving complex tax disputes, in managing engagements with tax authorities and in strategic tax planning in particular for multinational corporations and investment groups. Alex has significant experience advising on the tax aspects of acquisitions and integrations, redomiciliation transactions, restructurings, capital raises, equity and debt offerings, management equity plans, fund formation, the design of group holding structures and joint ventures, real estate investment structuring, in addition to tax authority enquiries, pricing arrangements, mutual agreement procedures and more. Previously, Alex was a partner in the tax team of an international law firm in London. He is the past chair of the British branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales’ Tax Law Committee, chairing its Income Tax Subcommittee and serving on the Steering Committee of the Forum on International Tax & Disputes.
