Biography

David Jackson, CEO, Shoosmiths LLP. David Jackson manages Shoosmiths’ Corporate, Real Estate, and Advisory Services divisions, alongside its Business Services directorates. He leads the Main Board working closely with Chair Kirsten Hewson and the wider leadership team to drive excellence and progress across the firm. David joined Shoosmiths in 2006 and is a specialist Technology & Outsourcing lawyer widely recognised for his pioneering spirit, commitment to innovation and client excellence. Having previously led Shoosmiths’ award-winning national Commercial Group for over ten years, his career has seen him win Client Partner of the Year at the British Legal Awards, nominated for Innovative Leader of the Year at the FT’s Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards and named in The Lawyer’s annual Hot 100 list. He co-wrote the book ‘Legal Practice in the Digital Age’ in 2023, in which he and his fellow authors explore how the legal profession can adapt and thrive in the post-pandemic era. Invested in defining the law firm of the future, David leads by encouraging diversity of thought, perspective and experience at his firm.
