Biography
Andrew Mukite Musangi is a seasoned advocate, corporate leader, and governance professional with over 30 years’ experience spanning law, finance, infrastructure, and public-sector reform. He is the Founding and Senior Partner of Mukite Musangi & Company Advocates, a boutique commercial law firm recognised for its depth in corporate, financial, and transactional advisory.
Andrew currently serves as Chairman of the Central Bank of Kenya Board, where he supports monetary and financial-sector governance at the highest level. He has previously chaired the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority Board, strengthening Kenya’s procurement, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
In the private sector, Andrew holds multiple leadership roles, including:
• Chairman, GenAfrica Asset Managers
• Chairman, Smart Applications International
• Board Member, Centum Investment Company PLC (Chair, Finance & Investment Committee)
• Board Member, HACO Industries
As an advocate, Andrew has led and argued landmark commercial, judicial review, procurement, ICT, and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) matters, shaping precedent and influencing policy in key sectors. He has also played central roles in major infrastructure, financial services, and high-value commercial transactions across East Africa.
A passionate believer in youth development, sports, and national progress, Andrew has served as Chairman of Nakuru Rugby Football Club, Director of the Kenya Rugby Union, and was part of the team instrumental in returning the World Rally Championship Safari Rally to Kenya.
He continues to drive excellence in leadership, governance, and institution-building, with a strong commitment to Kenya’s economic transformation and inclusive development.
