Biography

Dipo Ashiru is the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of Veritas Capital, a private investment firm focused on companies providing technology or technology-enabled critical products, software, and services solutions to government and commercial customers worldwide. He was formerly a Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel of The TCW Group Inc., a global asset management firm with products across fixed income, equities, emerging markets and alternative investments. Prior to TCW he was funds counsel at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., a preeminent global investment firm where he advised the private and public markets businesses on product offering in private equity, infrastructure, energy, leveraged credit, special situations, direct lending and mezzanine and long/short equity and credit hedge funds. He started his legal career as an attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York in investment funds management and corporate transactions. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Franklin and Marshall College, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He serves on the board of directors of Prison Fellowship.
