Hao Zhang

Biography

Hao Zhang is an Associate Professor in Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and currently a visiting fellow at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge (2025/06). He specialises in energy and climate law, focusing on the legal and regulatory issues surrounding energy security and decarbonisation, and the green economic transition. He authored ‘In Pursuit of Carbon Neutrality: Energy Law and Regulation in China’ (Cambridge University Press, 2024) and has published widely on law, energy policy and environmental studies journals.
