Barry Barton
Biography
Barry Barton is a Professor of Law at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand. He specializes in energy, natural resources and climate law. He is the author of the leading text Canadian Law of Mining, and has written extensively on practical and theoretical matters in his field. He has taken part in both legal and interdisciplinary studies on oil and gas operations, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, carbon capture and storage, circular economy and carbon dioxide removal. He is a longstanding contributor to the work of the IBA, SEERIL, and the Academic Advisory Group in particular.
