Biography
Associate Professor, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University
Environmental and climate law scholar with over ten years of experience spanning legal research, academic teaching, and policy engagement across Ukraine, the EU, and international institutions. Her expertise sits at the intersection of climate and energy law, environmental governance, and post-conflict green reconstruction, including the emerging climate-energy-peace nexus in conflict-affected societies undergoing transition.
A national legal expert, Ievgeniia has contributed to legislative assessments and advised on Ukraine's climate diplomacy across multiple high-profile initiatives. She is a member of the Oxford-based research team developing the climate pillar of Ukraine's Post-War Reconstruction Plan, and lead author of the Legal Study of a Roadmap for a Climate-Neutral, Sustainable Ukrainian Energy Sector, presented to the European Commission in November 2023. In her capacity as national expert to the European Commission (DG ENV), she has provided legal and policy assessments for EU environmental acquis screening, with a focus on waste management and circular economy in the context of Ukraine–EU integration.
Her work has been presented at the Ukraine Recovery Conferences in London, Berlin, and Rome, and at other high-level international fora, reflecting a consistent track record of bridging rigorous legal scholarship with actionable policy impact at the intersection of energy security, climate law, and Ukraine's EU integration agenda.
