Natasha Ali Errey

Biography

Natasha Ali Errey is a highly accomplished Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, admitted to the Bar in January 2014. She is the currenly serving her 2nd term (and was the first female) Chairperson of both the Mombasa Law Society and the Law Society of Kenya, Coast Branch, a testament to her trailblazing leadership in the legal profession. She also serves as the vice-chairperson of the Law Society of Kenya Branch Chairs Caucus. She is a member of the Devolution Funds Review Committee, Law Society of Kenya. And she is the Chairperson of the Ethics and Practice Standards Committee of East Africa Law Society. Natasha holds a B.A. in History from York University, Toronto (2007), an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Nairobi (2011), and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law (2012). She is the founder and managing partner of N.A. Ali & Company Advocates, a law firm based in Mombasa. A dedicated advocate for justice and mentorship, Natasha is a trained trial advocate and faculty member of Justice Advocacy Africa. She previously served as Secretary General of the Mombasa Law Society for two terms (2014–2019) and was a committee member of the Law Society of Kenya’s Standing Committee on Judicial Appointments (SCOJA). She is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and sits on their AI Committee. She is also a member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Beyond her legal practice, Natasha is passionate about supporting women in law and motherhood. She is a member of FIDA-Kenya (Federation of Women Lawyers) and an executive committee member of the Muslimah Legal Network, a community-based organization serving women in the community. She is also currently part of the Her Purpose Campaign which pushes for safe spaces for women in leadership in law. In April 2026, she won the Muslim Women in Law Award. In May 2026 she was selected to win the award for Top 50 Most influential Women in Kenya 2026. In 2018, she founded the Motherhood & Law Initiative, a growing support network that ddresses the unique challenges faced by women lawyers who are also mothers. Through this platform, she has led impactful discussions on mental health, financial empowerment, women’s health, fitness, and cancer awareness, with the initiative now progressing towards formal registration. Natasha is a dynamic leader, mentor, and advocate for justice, gender equity, as well as a speaker.
