Biography

Jan Stappers is an expert in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). He is a frequent speaker on subjects related to GRC regulation and best practices, as well as a sought-after author on regulatory developments within GRC, ESG, CSR, whistleblowing, and third-party risk. Jan is a member of the European AI Alliance and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s (UNECE) “Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies.” This working party is broken into six parts and Jan is a member of the Group of Experts on Risk Management in Regulatory Systems. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Jan holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) from King’s College London (EU Competition Law) and a master’s degree (LL.M) from Leiden University (European Law).
