Petr Bříza
Biography
Petr Bříza is a founding partner of Bříza & Trubač and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague. He specialises in international arbitration, cross-border disputes, and EU law, combining extensive practical experience with academic expertise in private international law. He has represented clients and acted in proceedings before leading arbitral institutions, including the ICC, LCIA, PCA, DIS, and ICSID, as well as before the courts of the European Union. In addition to acting as counsel, he has served as an arbitrator in nearly 80 international and domestic cases, frequently sitting as sole arbitrator or chair. He is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague and serves on the Commission on International Arbitration of ICC Czech Republic. He is also active as an expert witness on foreign and international law in complex cross-border disputes, both in arbitration and litigation.
