As one of the youngest Senior Partners at MZM Legal LLP, he leads the firm’s Dispute Resolution, International Arbitration, Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring and Corporate Advisory practice, having joined as an intern in 2010 and rising through the ranks through sheer dedication, skill, and vision. Waseem has successfully handled complex, high-stakes matters for Fortune 100, 500, and 1000 companies, Unicorn startups, and Ultra HNIs. He is particularly noted for his ability to simplify intricate legal disputes, earning him the trust of both Indian and international clients. His experience spans cross-border arbitration, multi-jurisdictional white-collar crime, corporate litigation, and high-value insolvency and restructuring cases. A graduate of Mumbai University, Waseem has further strengthened his profile with certifications in International Commercial Arbitration from Columbia Law School and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and in Intellectual Property Rights from WIPO. He is also an Accredited Dispute Resolution Professional and a Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Waseem regularly advises on corruption, fraud, money laundering, and extradition matters, working closely with global law firms on international mandates. He has played a key role in steering complex insolvency cases under the IBC, representing financial and operational creditors, and corporate debtors. He has also advised on boardroom disputes, employment law, corporate compliance, and large-scale labor restructuring, helping companies implement sound governance and litigation strategies. His practical legal insight and leadership have contributed to the firm’s expansion into new practice areas like Sports Law and forensic investigations, co-founding a forensic vertical with Managing Partner Zulfiquar Memon in 2021.
