Biography

Isibor is a distinguished legal professional with a strong commitment to international law, professional wellbeing, sustainability, and social impact. He is an esteemed member of the International Bar Association (IBA), where he contributes to advancing mental wellbeing initiatives across the legal profession. He serves as a Commissioner on the IBA Professional Wellbeing Commission and Deputy Communications Officer of the International Commerce and Distribution Committee. A Climate Reality Leader trained by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Isibor is passionate about sustainability, climate action, and environmental stewardship, and remains actively engaged in advancing global conversations on climate change and sustainable development. Within the American Bar Association (ABA), Isibor serves as Chair of the International Refugee Law Committee of the International Law Section, having previously completed two terms as Vice Chair. He also served as Vice Chair for Social Media of the United Nations and International Organizations Committee and Vice Chair for Year in Review of the Food, Agriculture, and Cannabis Committee for the 2025–2026 term. For the 2026–2027 bar year, he has been appointed to four leadership committees within the ABA Senior Lawyers Division, serving on the Communications & Digital Strategy Committee, International Members Subcommittee, Career Transition and Financial Readiness Subcommittee, and Meetings, Travel & Special Programs Committee. Through these roles, he contributes to strategic communications, international collaboration, professional development, member engagement, and the Division’s global outreach. Currently, Isibor works with the Central Bank of Nigeria as a Legal Officer, where he applies his legal expertise to financial regulatory, institutional governance, and related legal matters. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Isibor is committed to bridging the legal profession with wider societal wellbeing. He advocates for mental health awareness, access to justice, youth development, and support for vulnerable communities, while envisioning collaborative platforms that bring together youth development agencies, civil society, and other institutions to advance meaningful social impact. His dedication to pro bono service, professional wellbeing, sustainability, and equity reflects his conviction that a healthier legal profession is essential to building stronger institutions, a more resilient justice system, and just society.
