Biography

Vinicius Marques de Carvalho is the Minister of the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU). Born in São Paulo, SP, and a law graduate from the University of São Paulo (USP), Vinícius Marques de Carvalho, 46, holds a PhD in Commercial Law from USP and in Comparative Law from the Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he was a visiting professor. He has been a professor at USP since 2014. He chaired the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE - the Brazilian Antitrust Agency) from 2012 to 2016. He also served as Secretary of Economic Law, CADE Commissioner, and Chief of Staff of the Special Secretariat for Human Rights, among other positions. He was a member of the career path of Public Policy and Government Management Specialist.
