Diego Sierra
Biography
Diego is a partner of Von Wobeser y Sierra where he leads the Anti-corruption & Compliance, and Bankruptcy & Restructuring practices, in parallel with his Litigation & Arbitration practices. He is part of the ESG practice group (Environmental, Social and Governance). Diego has advised Fortune 500 companies in matters of anti-corruption, due diligence, litigation, arbitration and bankruptcy, and has participated in some of the most relevant anti-corruption and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations of recent years in Mexico. Diego is licensed to practice law in both Mexico and New York, where he worked as international visiting attorney of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho with honors and he was President of the Student Association. He has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Certificate in Business Administration from the School of Law and the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. Additionally, he holds leadership positions in various organizations; Since 2021, Counselor of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, BMA), ), where he currently acts as Second Vice President, and as an Officer of the Anti-Corruption Committee for Latin America of the International Bar Association (IBA).
