Nikoletta Louverdis
Biography
Nikoletta is an accomplished maritime and transport lawyer with expertise in public and private law. Her breadth of expertise allows her to readily advise a diverse client base of intergovernmental organisations, domestic and international government agencies, insurers and private industry. Nikoletta’s maritime law experience includes admiralty law, domestic and international regulation, charterparties and major casualties. Nikoletta has acted for insurers and government agencies relating to shipping incidents, ship construction, admiralty matters, prosecutions and implementation of international conventions. Nikoletta has worked as a legal consultant for the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime creating and facilitating prosecutors training in international maritime environmental incidents. She has also worked in operational positions such a Registrar of Ships of Australia.
