Biography

Luis Casero Serrano is a Director at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, where he is part of the Real Estate Group based in Madrid, covering Spain and Portugal. With close to 18 years of banking experience in M&A and structured finance, he has deep expertise in advising and executing complex and large-scale transactions, having worked with leading sponsors and corporates throughout his career. He has played a leading role in some of the most significant real estate transactions in Iberia, including the €715m acquisition financing of Livensa for CPPIB, ADIA's acquisition of the Equity Inmuebles hotel portfolio, the financing of Hotel Investment Partners backed by Blackstone and GIC, and the acquisition financing of RESA, Spain's largest student accommodation platform. CACIB is a leading bank in real estate finance in Spain, consistently ranking at the top of the league tables and acting as bookrunner on many of the market's most significant transactions. Prior to joining CACIB, Luis worked in the Global M&A team at Banco Santander, advising on cross-border transactions across multiple sectors.
