Enyinnaya Uwadi
Biography
Dr Enyinnaya Uwadi is a Competition and Consumer Lawyer at the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade Legal Advisers, Government Legal Department, London. He holds a PhD in Competition Law from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. Before now, he worked in the Merger Remedies and Consumer Law teams of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), based in London. Enyinnaya has gained professional experience across Nigeria and the United Kingdom, holding previous roles at Hogan Lovells International LLP, Concurrences, Nationwide Building Society, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Recognised as one of the rising stars of African competition law, he has consulted for both local and international clients and authored several publications in leading international journals. Notably, three of his articles were shortlisted for the Antitrust Writing Awards in 2020 and 2022. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the UK Centre for Competition Policy, the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
