Biography

Marcos Sousa Monteiro is a partner at Linklaters and heads since 2016 the Corporate M&A team in Portugal. Marcos was seconded to the Linklaters London Private Equity practice in 2007 and regularly advises international corporates, financial institutions, private equity firms and a variety of funds and alternative investment providers on a range of corporate and private equity transactions. His expertise focuses on M&A cross-border mergers, private equity acquisitions and divestments, privatisations, joint ventures as well as corporate group restructurings and spin-offs. Marcos’ recent track record spans across different industries and sectors, in particular the financial institutions, infrastructure, energy, industrial and healthcare sectors.
