Biography
Nick has a wide-ranging corporate, commercial and M&A practice. He does a significant amount of work for insurers, asset managers and other financial institutions. He has advised: • Standard Life Aberdeen on the sale of its insurance business to Phoenix Group Holdings • Allianz on its acquisition of the general insurance business of Legal & General Group • Bupa on its agreement to sell part of its UK care home business to HC-One • GlaxoSmithKline on its major three-part inter-conditional transaction with Novartis • GE on the sale of equipment finance and receivable finance businesses in Germany and France • Standard Life on the implications of the FCA's past business review and redress programme in respect of the sale of enhanced annuities. He also co-led our team which carried out an independent review into the IT problems suffered by TSB in April 2018. Our report has been recently published. Nick is one of the partner leaders of PRISM, our LGBT+ network.
