Biography

Marie-Lorraine Henry is Head of the Private Client practice and manages a team of lawyers and notary graduates. Her activity is centered on French and international clients with significant private wealth and corporate assets held both in France and internationally. She is involved in the transfer of family businesses to heirs or third parties via donation, testament or transfers. She works in a multi-disciplinary team with her other corporate and tax partners, to provide her clients with comprehensive personal and business wealth solutions. She has a Master’s degree in Private law, a French Notary Diploma and a PhD in law from Paris Universities (II and X). In order to specialize in wealth management, she completed a Master’s degree at the ESCP-Europe in International Wealth Management in 2001. She also obtained her French Notary Diploma (lawyer specialized in real estate, private clients and wealth management in France). She was then able to pursue her career in the US where she completed an LLM and passed the New York Bar exam. She worked in private banking for 2 years and then in Notary Offices in Paris for ten years. She then joined Fidal Paris to develop the Private Clients practice where she has been a Partner for nearly 5 years now. She is also an affiliate professor at ESCP-EUROPE Business School. Her background and experience both as a notary and a lawyer give her a leading edge in handling matters for her private French and international clients.
