Biography

Julianne Canavaggio is a Managing Director and Chief of Staff for Lazard. She works with Lazard’s leadership team, the Board of Directors, clients, regulators, investors and external partners to support the delivery of Lazard’s strategic priorities in financial advisory.  Her client work focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, special committee assignments and joint ventures.

Julianne is an independent director for Copa Holdings (NYSE: CPA), a leading Latin American provider of airline passenger and cargo service through Copa Airlines and Copa Colombia. She also serves on the board of various private corporates.

Prior to joining Lazard, Julianne established a successful legal career in mergers and acquisitions across a variety of industries, in Latin America and the U.S.

Julianne received an AB with highest honors from Harvard University, and she also holds a Juris Doctor with honors from Tulane University.
