Alexander Birnstiel

Biography

Alexander is partner in Noerr's Brussels and Munich offices. He is a member of Noerr's Antitrust & Competition and Compliance & Investigations Group. He advises national/international clients in German and European antitrust investigations, behavioural matters, merger cases and private enforcement matters. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing competition compliance programmes and in European State aid matters. He focuses on clients from the automotive, aviation, chemicals, financial services, IT, media, (re)insurance, retailing, pharmaceuticals, sports and steel sector et al. He studied at the universities of Munich, Bonn, Geneva, and at the College of Europe in Bruges. He speaks German, English, French.
