Winnie Tam SC

Biography

Winnie is a barrister - Senior Counsel, independent arbitrator, Head of Des Voeux Chambers, and a Recorder of the High Court of Hong Kong SAR. She served as Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association (2015-2017), and Chairman of the Forum of Barristers and Advocates IBA (2017-2018) and was a member of BIC. Winnie is active as an international commercial arbitrator, and is one of the most experienced silks in Intellectual Property in the region. Her practice encompasses corporate commercial, IP, technology and entertainment, with a substantial practice in international arbitration. Winnie is fully bilingual, and holds qualifications to practice in England and Wales, Singapore, and China (the Greater Bay Area) in addition to Hong Kong. She is a member of the China Working Group and the Litigation Liaison Officer of the Asia Pacific Forum.
