Giuseppe Calabi

Biography

Giuseppe Calabi is managing partner of the Firm. He has earned a significant experience in the areas of corporate and commercial law, M&A, private equity, and debt restructuring. For over twenty years, he has worked in the field of banking law and financial market regulation, assisting leading Italian and foreign banks, as well as financial intermediaries. He successfully started to offer legal counsel in the field of art and cultural heritage law, which earned the Firm recognition as a national and international leader in the area. He has been member of the Commission for the implementation of the reform on the international circulation of works of art and cultural heritage, appointed by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. He is Chairman of the Art, Cultural Institutions, and Heritage Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). He has been working for over twenty years on copyright, new technology law, web regulation, privacy and digital content, and provides advice to major Italian and foreign e-commerce operators. He is legal consultant of Consorzio Netcomm, the main Italian association of e-commerce operators. He has successfully assisted internet service providers and, in particular, Italian and foreign social networks in liability cases, and has provided advice to the first Italian financial social network.
