Baba Zipkin

Biography

Baba Zipkin is a Principal of Millrace Consulting, supporting law firms and companies regarding global mobility and HR issues. Ms. Zipkin was Senior Counsel at IBM from 1999 to 2015, first as IBM's Global Services division's HR counsel and later in the corporate HR Legal Department. While at IBM Ms. Zipkin worked in all areas of HR law, including supporting IBM Government Affairs and liaising with IBM's international legal staff, especially in the areas of global outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border mobility, immigration and legal compliance. Before joining IBM Ms. Zipkin was a member of Hall, Dickler, Kent, Friedman & Wood in New York City. She began her legal career in Brussels with Puelinckx, DeScheemaecker & Dillemans.
