Biography

Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe is a partner in the firm of Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore. He is the head of Dispute Resolution Group in the firm. Over the years he has garnered considerable experience in the areas of commercial litigation, having been involved in landmark cases in areas of tax litigation and commercial law. Lateef attended the University of Wolverhampton, where he graduated with LLB (Hons) in 1998, and the University of Westminster, where he obtained a master’s degree in 2000. In 2001, he obtained an MBA at the University of Glamorgan, Wales. He was called to the Nigeran Bar Association in 2003. He was the Chairman of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association between 2019 and 2021. He is a member of the Body of Benchers, the body of the highest distinction in the legal profession in Nigeria.
