Biography

Jean-François Adelle is a banking and finance partner of Jeantet AARPI law firm in Paris, France. He has a general and structured debt finance practice covering a large array of transactions, including corporate, acquisition and project. He has a strong experience of receivables and tangible asset-based and asset-backed lending, bespoke deconsolidated and non-recourse financings and secured transactions. He assists clients on arrangements involving financial collateral, derivatives and fiducie. Jean-Francois also advises lenders, creditors and investors in debt instruments on in / out of court financial restructurings, where he is able to review financing structures toward downside protection and has been involved in large market cases, including Casino and Orpea. His practice is essentially cross border. Jean-François is former Co-Chair and Senior advisor of the International Bar Association’s Banking and Financial Law Committee, a member of the P.R.I.M.E Finance panel of experts, and leads the firm’s Legal Opinions Committee. He has chaired committees of Paris Europlace which inspired legislative reforms in the field of security interests, security agent and fiducie and co-chaired the International Financing Work Stream of the ICC Financial institutions and international Arbitration Task Force.
