Biography

Sharon Daly is the head of the Commercial Litigation Insurance team at Matheson, described by Legal 500 as "second to none". She and her team have been involved in some of the most significant commercial litigation to come before the Irish courts, including defending a global bank in a multi-billion, multi-jurisdictional dispute arising from investment in Bernard Madoff’s business. She acted for insurers in the largest property damage dispute to come before the Irish courts. The claim relates to the liability of hydro-electrical dam operators for flood damage caused by discharges of water from the dams.
