Geoffrey Monahan

Biography

Geoffrey Monahan was appointed a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) in 2008. Prior to his appointment to the Court, his Honour was an Associate Professor in law at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and a lawyer in private practice. His Honour has enjoyed a long association with the International Bar Association (IBA) and was Chair of the Judges Forum in 2019-2020 and Co-Chair of the Academic and Professional Development Committee in 2007-2008. He is currently on the Advisory Board of the Judges Forum.
