Michael Whamond

Biography

Michael Whamond is the Associate Director of Investment Legal Services for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Investment Management Company. Prior to joining MITIMCo, Mr. Whamond was a senior associate in Proskauer’s private investment funds group in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Whamond graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University, earned a master’s degree in history from Stanford University and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Before pursuing a legal career, Mr. Whamond was a high school history teacher and track coach in Berkeley, California.
