Biography

Hein Hooghoudt is a corporate and M&A partner at NautaDutilh in Amster-dam, the Netherlands, who has served as a member of the first Dutch Corpo-rate Governance Committee (Committee Peters). He regularly advises on corporate governance, shareholder activism and anti-takeover defences im-plemented by Dutch listed companies. Furthermore, he is active in the field of M&A (both domestic and cross border) of listed and private companies. An example of a transaction in which all these areas of expertise were in-volved was the Euro 71 billion acquisition of ABN AMRO following two competing public bids, in which he led the external legal team representing ABN AMRO.
